A Commitment to Sustainable Coffee
New Guinea Highlands Coffee Exports (NGHCE) has worked with Korofeigu farmers since its founding in 1992, with company members trading coffee in the region since the 1960s.
In recent years, NGHCE launched an initiative to help farmers achieve Organic certification—a program that goes beyond farming. It provides education on:
- HIV/AIDS prevention
- Financial management
- Gender equality awareness
- Coffee cultivation best practices
- Certification standards & procedures
